Day 4 2014
As the forecast builds in Tiree we have seen some stunning sunshine and wind today, and the swell is due to build!
All fleets are on standby for an early start tomorrow as we build up to 3 days of solid competition…….
With a number of Pro’s having to leave early for PWA La Torche, in France, the lucky ones that can stay are looking at one of the best forecasts we’ve seen for the competition in a long time. Lets just hope that it comes true, in fact if just half of it comes in it will be a true Tiree Wave Classic. Local Willy Angus has taken the hot seat from Head Judge Mark ‘Sparky’ Hosegood and will be making the call early Wednesday morning to get the riders to the right beach and ready for action.
Willy Angus, Wild Diamond - “We are looking at the strong possibility of three solid days of competition and the swell period is one of the best I have seen all year. I’m pretty confident something good is on it’s way and the guys on the Island are really charged up for a good competition”
Mike Archer, BWA Judge - “Sparky has left us with a unique concept for the Pro Competition and it’s going to be getting very exciting if this forecast comes in! There can be only one winner in The Quickening! What is it? We’ll see this week!"
